The Perfect Cheeks – Fillers By Dr Natasha Chapman

If you feel like you need to take the next step in the fight against ageing but are unsure on what that should be, Dr Natasha Chapman suggests a cheek augmentation using a resorbable filler like Juvederm or Restylane.

People become aware that their skins begin to sag, and they may notice deeper nasolabial folds (those lines that run from your nose to the outer corners of your mouth) or saggy jowls, or a hollow look under the eyes and in the mid face.  This is all due to a loss of tone and elasticity which is a normal part of the ageing process, she says. “What patients don’t realise is that they will also experience a loss of volume as the cheek fat pad starts to sag with gravity and by simply restoring some of that volume by plumping out the cheeks and creating a more youthful ‘apple’ shape, they will also see a lifting effect which will reduce the appearance of nasolabial folds and a sagging jawline,” she explains.

“Rosy “apple cheeks” are one of the most effective yet subtle ways of restoring a youthful look.  Have a look at celebrities like Jennifer Aniston, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Christie Brinkley to get an idea of how good you could look!
